Dinner at Masa 14 in DC

Happy Friday!!! I'm really looking forward to a low key weekend. What about you?

Do you need a recommendation for a fun dinner place in DC? If you do, this post is for you.

Recently I was invited to dine at Masa 14 and took my friend Evi along for the ride. Just to be clear, the dinner was on the house and we just left a tip. I'm not saying you will get the exact same amazing service with the

Eating out with Instagram: I'm No Longer a Bonchon Virgin

I’m no longer a Bonchon virgin!!! What’s Bonchon?

Where to Eat Brunch in Madison, WI: Graze

After a fun two days of the cheese festivities in Madison, WI, I had a free half a day before flying back to DC. Luckily my friend Emily was free to hang out with me. Of course we met up for brunch and shopping ;) Emily chose Graze, and I was more than happy to check it out for brunch, since I loved it for dinner the last time I was in Madison.

Sweet Saturday at Dolci Gelati

I haven't been setting my alarm clock for quite some time: first I was on vacation, then I came back to a government shutdown...not that I'm complaining. But this past Saturday I set my alarm clock because there was something I did not want to miss: a tour of Dolci Gelati including multiple tastings. Thanks so much Kyle for the invitation!

Eating out with Instagram: Dinner at Doi Moi in DC with Evi

For our monthly dinner date, my friend Evi and I decided to check out the recently opened Doi Moi. Ok, technically I decided, and Evi agreed: she always lets me choose, and, luckily, I haven't disappointed yet. Doi Moi did not disappoint either.

Doi Moi comes from Mark Kuller and Haidar Karoum who have two successful restaurants in DC: Estadio and Proof. Having been to both and loving

Field Trip to Rappahannock Oysters

One of the things I ♥ most is sleeping in. That's what the weekends are for, right? Right! Unless, that is, there is a better offer ;)

A few weeks ago I was invited to join ten other food bloggers and media people on a day-long field trip to visit Rapphannock Oysters. And so I skipped my normal Friday night salsa dancing, set my alarm clock for 7 am (that's earlier than I wake up on my typical

Summer Zucchini Soup Recipe Inspired by Dinner at Ambar Restaurant in DC

Earlier this month I was invited to try out the menu at the Balkan restaurant called Ambar in the Eastern Market neighborhood of DC. I asked my friend Evi to be my +1, and we put ourselves in the hands of the chef. Sometimes it's nice to surrender control and let someone else be in charge.

We enjoyed the view from the second floor of the restaurants and sipped on our beverages of choice: Evi

Eating out with Instagram: #Philadelphia4ADay. Where to Eat Brunch & Dinner in Philadelphia

I love traveling. If I'm in the same place for too long, I get antsy. Although I just got back from a trip to San Francisco and Alameda, and am going to Seattle in June, I have no other travel plans on my calendar. Oy.

That's why I was so happy when my friend Pankti suggested a day trip to Philadelphia. I've been to Philadelphia three times already: once on a solo trip, once on a trip with my

A week ago I was in Alameda, CA visiting my friends Laura and Carlos and their two boys after my stay in San Francisco.

Laura and I started work within a week of each other ELEVEN years ago, and together with our friend Jenny have remained good friends despite the fact that Laura and Jenny moved from DC.

It's been over two years since the last time I saw Laura and her family (in Puerto Rico!!

Eating Out with Instagram: Zengo, Pound & Dukem in Washington DC

It's almost the weekend! I'm looking forward to a fun cookbook dinner party with a few friends (we'll be cooking from Ina Garten's latest book), a visit to four of DC restaurants serving lamb, and some well needed nap time.

Before I wish you all a happy weekend, I thought I'd share three of the latest adventures in eating out I had: Zengo, Pound and Dukem.

Eating out with Instagram: NYC & Brooklyn Edition

At the end of January I went to New York City (for the first time in almost two years) to visit my good friend Jenny and her boyfriend Chris.

I really had no plans (very unlike me). I was just looking forward to spending a lot of quality time together, maybe doing some shopping and relaxing.

The one place I really wanted to go to, however, was Talde. I thought Dale was awesome on Top Chef and

My First Trip to DC's Union Market: What to See, Where to Eat, What to Buy

Last Sunday, my friend Cecilia and I made our first trip to Union Market. I've heard a ton of buzz about the market in the last few months and in fact know several people who have stores there. It was time I checked it out for myself!

All You Can Eat & Drink Brunch in DC: Zengo
