Peachy Mango Salsa Recipe Inspired by Diamond Candles

What does Peachy Mango Salsa have to do with candles?? Well, there is a back story to this recipe.

Last month I received an email asking if I'd like to try out one of the Diamond Candles and write about them. I'll be honest: my first thought was what do candles have to do with a food blog? But then I decided to check out Diamond Candles website and found beautiful soy candles with fun names

Mezzetta's Make That Sandwich Contest: Not Your Boring Egg Salad Sandwich

Growing up in Russia, sandwiches were usually open faced. We had bread, butter, and cheese sandwiches; salami sandwiches, and sometimes fish sandwiches. But then we moved to the USA and discovered the big fat sandwiches with two slices of bread and a zillion types of fillings.

I became a fan! What can I say? I like stuff :)

Although a slice of toasted bread smeared with mayonnaise and topped

Easy Plum Dessert with KIND Healthy Grains

I have a confession to make: sometimes it's hard to be kind. Sometimes it's much easier to be mean, snarky, snooty and maybe even a little nasty. But I remind myself that my parents taught me better and try to be and do better.

What on Earth does this have to do with a food blog, you may think? Well, earlier this month I received a lovely package in the mail from KIND Snacks filled with

My Momento: SanPellegrino Sparkling Fruit Beverages Giveaway

I love beverages. I love hibiscus iced tea, Diet Pepsi with a slice of lemon, pretty sweet cocktails, a glass of chilled white wine, hot chocolate with whipped cream and a steaming cup of coffee with cream.

When I received an email from SanPellegrino asking if I'd like to receive a monthly supply of their SanPellegrino Sparkling Fruit Beverages, I said yes! After all, it's been an Italian

What to do with Dates: Spinach Salad with Dates, Summer Berries & Almonds

Who wants dates!? If this wasn't a food blog, I bet you'd think I'm talking about the dates of romantic type. Alas, those have been quite rare over here, but there is always hope, right?

Ok, let's get back to the food.

Earlier this month I received four huge boxes courtesy of Bard Valley Natural Delights which contained organic Medjool dates, pitted dates, chili lime date rolls, almond

Earlier this month I received a fun gift from OXO company: a bunch of different tools to make fruit prep easier. Since I already have and LOVE their cherry pitter, I gave my old one to my friend Cindy and am keeping the pretty red one.

I decided to try out the strawberry huller, mango splitter and the smaller of the fruit scoops to make popsicles!!!

These are not just your regular popsicles,

Cooking with Bobby Flay: Ok, His Bowls & Square Grill Pan ;) And Grilled New Potatoes and Zucchini with Radicchio, Goat Cheese and Aged Sherry Vinaigrette Recipe

I don't normally talk about my personal life here, but I have to tell you guys: I have a crush, and his name is BOBBY FLAY!!! Ok, so this might not be news to some of you. But what's not to like? New West Knifeworks' Superbread Knife & Baking Bread in Le Creuset by Ruhlman

Remember the post where I swooned about my new The 8 knife from the New West KnifeWorks? Well, I've used this knife so often and have been so happy with it, I decided to pitch a new idea to the company: I would FINALLY bake bread in my Le Creuset and then use their gorgeous Superbread Fusionwood knife to cut into my loaf of bread.

Guess what? They said YES and sent me the knife for a review.

Name This Mystery Kitchen Tool!

A few weekends ago while visiting my friend Jenny and her boyfriend Chris in New York City, we went to check out a flea market in Brooklyn. It was so much fun: the building is completely gorgeous! I picked up a fun little tomato card and also found a strange rusty metal object. That object was only $5, so I thought it would be a cool kitchen decoration.

Nutella Peanut Butter Sandwich Cookies & AirBake Review

Check your twitter stream, Pinterest boards or Facebook pages and you'll notice that 'tis the season for baking! Whether you are making chocolate chip cookies, biscotti, or macaroons, the types of cookie sheets you use is quite important.

My cookie sheets, I'm slightly ashamed to admit, are not in a pristine condition. They are stained from curried potatoes and carrots and no longer shine.

Not Your Typical Bagel Breakfast: Spanish Eggplant, Monterey Jack & Poached Egg

I'm not your cereal & milk for breakfast kind of a girl. I need more substance. In fact, I don't mind eating leftovers for breakfast once in a blue moon: think soup, pizza, or even half a burger!

As far as the "normal breakfast," bagels with cream cheese and smoked salmon are one of my favorites, but they do get old. A few weekends ago I decided to have a bagel with a few atypical toppings:
